With surf breaks of almost mythical world fame, Uluwatu has long drawn die-hard surfers to its watery peaks. But you don’t need to be a surfer to be mesmerised by the stark beauty of the remote Bukit Peninsula, where towering limestone cliffs are pounded by the Indian Ocean. Catch a wave from Green Bowl, Balangan, Bingin, Padang-Padang or a host of other beaches. And if you're not a surfer, hanging on any of Uluwatu's beaches is a great way to pass the day. Before sunset head to Blue Point and Single Fin (make sure you get to their Sunday Session), El Kabron or the Uluwatu Temple to watch the sun go down.
Travel time to airport 30- 45 minutes.
